The Power of Visualisation: Creating Your Future Twice

Hello Readers
Thanks for joining me this week and for anybody new a very big welcome!
I’m going to jump right in…..Have you ever noticed that everything we create in life happens twice? First, it’s imagined in our minds, and only then does it become a reality. This principle is at the heart of visualisation, a powerful tool that legends like Johnny Wilkinson have harnessed to achieve greatness. Today, I’d like to explore the transformative power of visualisation and how it can help you manifest the life and business you truly desire.
The importance of knowing where you’re headed can’t be overstated. If you don’t have a clear destination in mind, you’re likely to end up somewhere you never intended. As business owners, we often start with grand visions and detailed strategies, but as time goes by and the demands of daily operations take over, it’s easy to lose sight of those initial goals. Before we know it, we’re caught in a cycle of simply getting through the day, week, or month, rather than actively working towards our dreams.
When I ask clinic owners what they’re working towards, the responses are often vague. They want more money, more time, and less stress, but without specific goals, these aspirations remain just that—aspirations. It’s crucial to have a clear, well-defined vision for what you want your business to create for you. Otherwise, you may find yourself spinning your wheels, feeling overwhelmed by the chaos that comes with a lack of direction.
One of the most inspiring examples of visualisation in action is Johnny Wilkinson’s famous kick during the Rugby World Cup. He prepared for each conversion with the same meticulous routine, visualising the ball sailing through the posts again and again. This practice wasn’t just about physical preparation; it was about training his mind to see success as inevitable. And it worked. Visualisation, as Wilkinson and many other sports legends have demonstrated, can be a game-changer. The brain doesn’t distinguish much between a vividly imagined event and an actual one. By repeatedly visualising the outcome you want, you’re priming your brain to make it happen in reality.
But….. visualisation isn’t just for athletes. It’s a tool that any of us can use to manifest our goals. Think about it—when you visualise yourself in a stressful scenario, your body reacts as if it’s really happening, triggering the fight-or-flight response. Conversely, when you visualise calm and success, your body responds with relaxation and a sense of well-being. This is the power of visualisation: it can literally change your physiological state and, by extension, the energy you emit. And this energy, or vibe, is what attracts similar energies into your life.
The law of attraction works on the principle that like attracts like. If you’re constantly emitting low-vibe emotions like fear, anger, or stress, that’s what you’ll attract in return. On the other hand, if you operate from a place of confidence, enthusiasm, and hope, you’ll draw positive outcomes into your life and business.
Many of us have been running our businesses from a place of fear, especially in recent years. The stress of economic uncertainty has led to decision-making driven by worry rather than confidence. But if we continue to operate from this mindset, we’ll only create more of what we fear. Instead, we need to shift our focus to what we want to create, and use visualisation to guide us there.
So, how do you begin? Start by getting clear on what you truly want—not just in your business, but in all areas of your life. Break it down into categories like personal development, relationships, career, and leisure. Then, visualise your ideal life in each of these areas. Be specific. Picture the details. Write them down, create a vision board, or even sketch out your ideas. The more vividly you can imagine it, the more likely it is to become your reality.
Remember, you have the power to be the architect of your own life. Don’t let past experiences dictate what’s possible for your future. By committing to a clear vision and using the power of visualisation, you can create the life and business you’ve always dreamed of.
So, take some time to reflect and get excited about what you want to achieve. The clearer you are, the more likely you are to reach your destination. After all, everything is created twice—first in your mind, and then in reality. Make sure your mental blueprint is exactly what you want to see reflected in your life.
